Elissa Maynard, DDS
Dr. Elissa Maynard joined the team at Lemon Family Dental in 2018. Dr. Maynard received her dental training at the University of Washington, receiving her DDS with a solid background in conservative and evidenced based dentistry. Dedicated to staying up to date with the latest evidence based dental care techniques, Dr. Maynard is a member of the Spear South Sound Study Club, a dental study club comprised of local South Sound Dental professionals. Through continuing education, she is able to provide the best care options for each patient’s specific needs. Each year she takes courses through the University of Washington and local, state, and national dental organizations, to learn about new technology, procedures, and materials.
Dr. Maynard is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association as well as the Thurston-Mason County Dental Association. She has also served multiple terms as the President of the Lewis County Dental Association. She was inducted in 2017 into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an honorary dental service organization recognizing leaders in the profession.
The art and science of dentistry were what originally drew her to the profession. Through the years she has found that she enjoys being able to get to know her patients and feels grateful to have been able to connect with so many wonderful people. She loves building relationships with her patients. Living a happy, healthy life and enjoying life to its fullest is a goal that Dr. Maynard has for herself, her team and her patients. She believes that a healthy smile is an important part of this larger goal.
Prior to joining the Lemon Dental team, Dr. Maynard worked as a dentist in Community Health. A proud native Washingtonian, Dr. Maynard was a college softball pitcher at Saint Martin’s University, where she graduated as the Valedictorian. While in college she fell in love with the Olympia community and the abundance of outdoor recreation the South Sound has for us to enjoy. Her education at Saint Martin’s reinforced the high value she has for health, continuing education, and giving back to community.
While not in the office, Dr. Maynard loves spending time outdoors with her husband Tyson and her daughter, Ava. She enjoys yoga, mountain biking, surfing and snow sports.
